Cold Pressed means food that is prepared without heating the raw material and not using a process that results in heating of the raw material or finished products. 

Ayurveda or vedic processes followed the principles of cold pressed and hence whether it was atta flour, oils, spices or butter (for ghee) were prepared at ambient temperature.
